The 5.4-acre fenced-in site, known as Together Treasure Valley Dog Island, opened in 2019 after it acquired the $440,000 needed in funding. This park does not disappoint! Double-entry gates on both ends to allow for extra security and this park utilizes the unique feature of a pond surrounding it to keep all the pups contained. This pond doubles as an amazing swimming feature for all the water-friendly dogs wanting to jump right in. If your dog is learning to like water, then there are various dog beaches where they can dip their toes in and gain comfortability. The fun for dogs at Ann Morrison Park does not stop at “Dog Island”, the entire 153-acre park is open to dogs off-leash from Nov. 1 through Feb. 28.

Morris Hill Dog Park

This park is great for those looking to bring their dogs to an uncrowded off-leash spot. The 1-acre park has a mulch-covered ground with a shaded shelter area and various agility training features throughout the park. The entire dog park is fenced with an additional fenced area inside the park to create a separate space for small dogs. Morris Hill Park itself also has many different features providing fun for all such as gravel trails, horseshoe pits, and a playground.

The Military Reserve

750 Mountain Cove Rd, Boise, ID

The Military Reserve in Boise offers a 10-acre grass field designated to off-leash dogs. If you want a large park that will give both you and your dog the space you need to be active together, this is the park for you. The Military reserve is also home to various other activities like an archery range and the newly built bike skills park next to the dog off-leash dog park. All of this is nestled at the base of the Boise foothills with a mix of on and off-leash trails leading you from the park to your next adventure.

Cypress Park

Cypress Park is a 7-acre park with open fields, a playground, pickleball courts, tennis courts, and restrooms. Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., the entire pen field area of the park is open to off-leash dogs. This is a great place to bring your dogs especially if you’re with a group of people all wanting different activities. The pickleball courts and tennis courts can be reserved to ensure you will have a spot to play.

Castle Hills Dog Park

5350 N. Eugene St, Boise, ID

Hours: Sunrise - 10AM & 4PM - Sunset

Located in Northwest Boise, this 7.2-acre park offers a variety of activities from basketball courts to tennis courts and even practice fields. 2.2 acres of the park are made available for off-leash dogs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with signs showing the boundaries for the designated off-leash areas.
