We love our dogs at Platinum Idaho!

Many of our agents and staff have a four-legged family member and most of our dogs are pampered pooches. But if you ask around the office for the "best" dog boutique in Boise, you don't get one consistent answer.

Everyone has a different favorite spot to pick up dog food, leashes, toys and accessories to give their pup the very best life.

Here are the places we shop in Boise.

BARK N’ PURR

The staff is ready with nutritional counseling to make sure you know what you're doing, too.

This is the place to get specialty baked goods for your pup, too. If you're celebrating a birthday, a gotcha day, Christmas or a day with your dog that ends in Y, Bark n' Purr has birthday cakes and a wide array of cookies.

MOLLY’S HEALTHY PET FOOD MARKET

817 W. Idaho St.
208-336-9618

When Katie and Brian opened Molly's Healthy Pet Food Market, a dream came true. The couple wanted to open a nutrition center and boutique for pets that catered to the healthiest food, treats and supplements.

Katie and Brian hold onto the motto "Eat Better, Live Better."

To really set themselves apart, Molly's Market offers a wide array of products beyond food and treats. Katie and Brian recently partnered with Idaho Barkery that bakes gourmet dog cakes with local, organic ingredients and are wheat-free, never artificially flavored.

Our staff at Platinum love the bottles of DogWine, a nonalcoholic drink treat for your pooch. It's made with filtered water and infused with flavors. The Fetch Me Grigio and Fetch Me Noir are flavored with organic bacon extract and enriched with salmon oil.

Pet parents can also grab a fun item for themselves … coffee mugs, T-shirts or picture frames to show off your love for your dog.

NORTHWEST PETS

10436 Overland Rd.
208-297-2330

You know what we love about Northwest Pets? Their adoption program.

The good folks at Northwest Pets have partnered with Astro Loyalty to offer Sharing the Love, a program that gifts new pet parents with a basket full of toys, treats, food and other goodies. If you've adopted a pet in 2020, you may qualify for this gift to get you started on the right foot with your new pup.

We love the blog on their website, too. It's full of product reviews, training tips and advice for pet parents. Knowing that they use the products they sell for their own pets matters.

The diligence Northwest Pets puts into their product offerings to ensure everything is safe and high quality is really something to be admired.

BLUE DOG BAKERS

6245 S. Peppertree Ave
208-336-7388

This last one is a little different. You won't find a full slate of nutritional offerings, bowls and blankets at Blue Dogs.

Just treats. ALL THE TREATS. And, OK, some toys and bandanas.

Blue Dog Bakers is a home-based treat bakery that uses all local ingredients, including buffalo and lamb liver, to give your good boy or girl the very tastiest snacks.

Kathy Morris, owner and head treat chef, takes her bakery stand to the Capital City Public Market spring through Christmas, and offers home delivery in Boise every Saturday from January to April.

Her specialty treat is Idabones, a nutritious treat made with beef, buffalo and lamb liver, cottage cheese, eggs, potatoes, peas and carrots  – all wrapped up in a little potato sack tied with straw.
