Boise and the whole of Treasure Valley is an ideal golf climate from spring through fall. Spring and Fall are especially ideal climates where the sun is shining but the weather is a bit cooler than in the Summer months. Here are the must-visit golf courses in the Treasure Valley.

BanBury Golf Course

The BanBury Golf Course drifts along the South Channel of the Boise River. It was designed by John Harbottle III who successfully united golf with the surrounding environment. It’s well known and loved for the scenery it provides to all who venture there. It has consistently been part of the top ten golf courses in Idaho by Golf Digest in the past eight years. It’s a challenging 6,890-yard par 71 public course but allows itself to be accessible for golfers.

Hillcrest Country Club

The Hillcrest Country Club has been around for a very long time. It began as the Idaho Country Club in 1925, becoming one of only two golf courses in the Treasure Valley. You can always expect the entirety of the course to be groomed to perfection since it’s a private club. It prides itself on its history. Generations of golfers have come and gone. They’ve built friendships and have in turn built a community. It has been home to the Korn Ferry Albertson’s Open for more than 30 years.

Shadow Valley Golf Course

Shadow Valley Golf Course is a public course situated in the foothills north of Boise. It has a reputation for its vivid topography. The long, exposed greens, ponds, trees, and rock formations provide a tranquil setting for a good round of gold. To top it off, their friendly staff are always ready to assist.

Warm Springs Golf Club

Drive a few minutes away from downtown Boise and you’ll get to Warm Springs Golf course. This public golf course in Treasure Valley is nestled between the Boise River ad picturesque views of the foothill. Local wildlife like elk and deer occasionally make an appearance. This 18-hole championship course provides special pricing for families.

RedHawk Public Golf Course

RedHawk Public Golf Course opened in July 2014 and has since earned a reputation as a premier site for Championship Golf. It offers a well-maintained course manned by a friendly and helpful staff and offers panoramic views of Lake Lowell and the Owyhee Mountains. Any golfer of all skill levels will find this 18-hole marvel to be challenging and rewarding at the same time.

Quail Hollow Golf Course

Golf Digest awarded Quail Hollow Golf Course 4 stars and that says a lot. It’s a challenging 18-hole golf course in Treasure Valley perfectly nestled in the Boise foothills. It comes with stunning views and plenty of wildlife. The hazards and elevation changes affect the play on most holes. Just remember when you start that you’ll be in for a long walk so don’t forget the cart. This course provides a good challenge for even the most well-rounded golfers.
